Welcome to the Department of Social Science. I would like to guide you through the campus to explore the progress of the department. This department is thriven with four very energetic teachers who are proficient towards meeting the targets set leading to effective and efficient teaching and learning to take place. The department offers Social Science to Years 9&10, Geography and History to Years 11-13 students.

Henceforth, listed below are some of the relevant activities that the department has taken part in. Mock election was conducted while observing the Social Science Department Week held in Term One. This gave students an opening to observe the electoral process that is carried out to decide on the day’s government. The   students actively participated in designing models and setting up display corners to create awareness. Nevertheless, while running these competitions, students got an opportunity to display their hidden skills. Besides, social science is a very broad subject that relates history to the present and focuses on physical and cultural aspect of study.

Furthermore, the Covid-19 virus has brought in a lot of challenges to the department in regards to reaching out to students and providing them the rendered support needed. The worksheets are uploaded on the Google classroom platform and school Facebook page from where students are able to access these resources. The department teachers are looking forward to help students in all possible ways to get fruitful academic results, thus, preparing students for the future to achieve gradual success by attaining quality marks in the external examinations by using various innovative strategies.
